A beautiful November wedding surrounded by an incredibly loving family. The speeches got me bad at this one, I laughed, I cried and felt all the love. It’s strange when I really start to think about what I do, spending an entire day documenting all the special moments of such an incredibly special day and how connected I feel with all the people I spent that day with by the end of the night. I wish Jane and Ben all the love and I’m excited to spend another beautiful day with this family in August of this year when Jane’s brother gets married.
Jess and Alan were married on September 21, 2018 which was the same day a tornado hit down in the Ottawa area. There were talks of moving the ceremony indoors but Jess wouldn’t have it and because of this I was able to capture the epic wind that day. Power was lost later in the evening, generators kicked in and the celebration continued.
This was a very special newborn session with an amazing family I hold close to my heart.
Bea was an incredible last gift her father, Shane, left his family before he past away two months ago.
Bea... "she who brings Happiness"
I'm taking it back to sunny, warm days. Back to ice cream dripping down your cone, playing in the warm water and watching sunsets. Back to this an amazing family session I had the honour of photographing in August of last year with the McMahons.
It's always so hard for me to choose which images to share from the weddings I capture. I photograph the day to tell a story and to feel all the emotions. I want my clients and their friends and family to feel this day in their hearts no matter how many years have past when looking through their images. When I share them for you all to see, I want you to know their story too, and the ultimate goal is for you to feel like you were there too.
Valerie was the winning bidder of a mini session I donated to the annual Ottawa Fur Kids Online Auction last year. When she reached out to book a session, I was about to give birth to Ruby. So she kindly waited and we finally captured some amazing memories with her daughter, Grace, a few weeks ago. We had an absolute blast!
Ottawa Fur Kids Online Auction is run every year in February. I will gladly donate another session next year so keep an eye out for it!
I had an absolutely blast with this beautiful family of 3 boys last month! It was Jude's first birthday and I hadn't seen them since his newborn session last year, how I've missed them!
I arrived, Jude filled up his little belly and then we quickly headed out for some family portraits before the guests arrived. I stayed for a good part of the party and documented all the crazy goodness that comes with a first birthday party! Loved every minute of it! Please enjoy the fun!
I met Everett a year ago. I photographed him when he was only a few weeks old and so itty bitty. I loved meeting him all over again, I feel so lucky I get to watch this little human grow.
I feel so honoured that my clients continue to come back and ask me to capture all these precious, fleeting moments for their families. Our babes grow so friggin' fast and I feel it is so important to document all the things so we can remember forever how it was and who they were.
I needed no prompts for these two. They made each other laugh and giggle the whole session long.
Started at a pub for a round of drinks (which was on the house! yay!) and then headed out to a park close by.
Note to anyone thinking of having a round of drinks at the beginning of your session ( which I highly recommend!), hit the bathroom before you leave the bar or you may end up like Eric and Bailey squatting behind dumpsters at the end of your session bahah amazing!.
Seriously, these two are so in love and it just beams right out of them. I can not wait to capture their wedding day in September.
This beautiful and very large set was just sent off to this amazing family this afternoon and I am so excited to be sharing it with you all. If I didn't think it was over kill, I'd just share all 150+ images. It's so difficult picking and choosing what images I'd like to share for my blog. I absolutely love story telling and I feel that every image is a page to a story and if I skip an important moment it makes it harder to follow along. I do hope that I chose all the right moments to allow you, the viewer, to feel all the right emotions..
Alexa is a Holistic personal trainer/powerlifter and she made my job so friggin' easy.
She is absolutely gorgeous inside and out.
Also, having a session day after a wind storm pays off with the remnants of the wind lingering. Ohhhh ya, hair was on point!
This girl can lift.
I mean she lifts f@#$in' heavy and it is so bad ass, hot.

Last week I was so incredibly fortunate to be a "fly in the forest" during one of my daughter's Forest school sessions at Wildroots Nature and Forest School.
She has been attending since last summer at just 2 1/2. I would pick her up and ask her how her morning was and what she did but she could never fully explain to me. Still at almost 3 1/2, she tells me "she doesn't have the words" to express what they did.
I finally had the privilege to watch and document one of their magical mornings in the Forest. I wanted to get it all. The curiosity, the wonderment, the excitement... all of the feelings. So that when the parents of these amazing children and all of you looked through these images, you would get a glimpse of what they do and what they see each morning.
It's incredibly amazing, this opportunity that these children have. Learning from great educators about the forest and the life it contains. They are developing a deep respect for nature and at the same time gaining confident, grit and making great friends in the process.
I don't know how, but I managed to forget to blog this beautiful newborn TWIN session I had last month... I think my mom brain is clouding my memory.
When I arrived at Wendy and Eric's home in January, Eric was still upstairs getting ready and I just want to say I had/have the most respect for Wendy who was totally rocking this new mom of twins gig! A total pro already without a doubt, especially also dealing with the chaos of recently moving. Multiple times throughout our session I had the urge to give her a standing ovation. When you scroll through these images, you'll notice this incredible calmness about her.
Jess and Jeff were married on September 16, 2017 and I was able to deliver their full set just before my daughter, Ruby, was born. Blogging my favs got forgotten, until now!
I definitely need to share this wedding because despite the crazy heat that day, it was amazing! I had an absolutely fantastic time with this wonderful group of people. Everyone was crazy welcoming and friendly and so laid back. Jess and Jeff wanted to get to the celebration part as fast as possible, and had the shortest ceremony I have ever witness on the Metcalfe Fair grounds (right across the street from my old high school!), followed by an awesome party with all their family and friends. Ridiculous good time had by all! Check it out!
