The McMahons - Family Lifestyle Session - Ottawa Family Photographer

I'm taking it back to sunny, warm days. Back to ice cream dripping down your cone, playing in the warm water and watching sunsets. Back to this an amazing family session I had the honour of photographing in August of last year with the McMahons.

Valerie and Grace - Family Mini Session - Ottawa Lifestyle Photographer

Valerie was the winning bidder of a mini session I donated to the annual Ottawa Fur Kids Online Auction last year. When she reached out to book a session, I was about to give birth to Ruby. So she kindly waited and we finally captured some amazing memories with her daughter, Grace, a few weeks ago. We had an absolute blast!

Ottawa Fur Kids Online Auction is run every year in February. I will gladly donate another session next year so keep an eye out for it!

Everett - One Year - Family Mini - Ottawa Family Lifestyle Photographer

I met Everett a year ago. I photographed him when he was only a few weeks old and so itty bitty. I loved meeting him all over again, I feel so lucky I get to watch this little human grow.

I feel so honoured that my clients continue to come back and ask me to capture all these precious, fleeting moments for their families. Our babes grow so friggin' fast and I feel it is so important to document all the things so we can remember forever how it was and who they were.

The Konkles' - Family Mini - Ottawa Based Photographer

Amazing family mini session one morning back in September. Headed to the neighbourhood park for some fun and walked back home for a few photos with their pup (who I believe is 14!!).

If you follow my work you may remember these cuties from last year. I had done their newborn lifestyle session. Seriously twins are so flipping' fun, never a dull moment.

The Wards - Family Session - Ottawa Based Photographer

I have been photographing the Ward's since their oldest son, Liam, has been in Amie's belly.

They have grown with me, and stayed with me since the beginning. Trusting in me to capture and document beautiful memories for them to look back on and I will strive to be better each time I photograph them. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their loyalty and of course, for looking so damn good ;D

Mariana and Andre - Visiting from Brazil - Engagement Session - Ottawa Based Photographer

Mariana used to live here in Ottawa, but about 5 years ago she decided to pack up and move to Brazil. There she met the love of her life and now husband, Andre.

Last month, Mariana came to Ottawa, with her new husband, to visit with her family and asked me if I could not only photographer her and Andre but also her family and close friends whom she now only sees maybe once a year, if that.

I was beyond honour to capture some memories for her and her family, but also honoured to photograph her and Andre. Andre had never travelled to Canada before, and does not speak any English. It was a fun challenge trying to give cues when he couldn't understand what I was saying. What made this session so easy and flow so well was incorporating dance into it. Mariana and Andre have a passion for dancing and both are dance instructors. I had them dance at sunset, with music, from a festival, blaring from across the river. Perfeito!!

The Herrington's - Family/Maternity Lifestyle Session - Ottawa Based Photographer

This Family.

I just can't get enough.

Hazel and Matt wanted to capture their last moments as a family of four. We played at home, cuddled a bit, visited the park, climbed some trees, ran through the grass and watched the sun set. We finished the session off with a very well deserved ice-cream treat.

They decided to leave the gender of their third babe a surprise till birth, and I have since met their fifth addition, so I will continue to leave you in suspense until I post their Newborn session;)

The Hunter's - Family Lifestyle Session - Ottawa Based Photographer

Spent an evening last month with this gorgeous family of five. Three beautiful girls, each with their completely, unique personalities.

Spent half the session in their home, which I love doing with my family sessions, as it gets the kids used to me in a familiar and comfortable environment.

We spent the last half of the session walking some trails around Mud lake, looking for turtles and rabbits and ended it soaking up the setting sun, blowing bubbles and picking flowers. Absolutely perfect.

Leily and Chris - At Home Maternity Session - Ottawa Based Photographer

Leily and Chris' session was originally planned for outside. We were going to cruise around in the Ottawa market and capture some memories. But the day of the session arrived and it was chilly. Like, bright red nose, chilly, like tighten your body as much as you can, chilly. Our back up was to do an at home session. I am going to be completely honest now and say I was a bit nervous. I have done so many at home sessions before, but never a maternity session. Children and/or babies are always involved which make for continuous moments to capture.  But I had never done a couple in their home on their own. The moment I was greeted at the door by these two, I knew I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Relaxed, easy going and so so friendly and warm. The ingredients for this perfect at home maternity session were as follows: 90's play list from Spotify,  a friendly yet competitive game of Uno, some hot tea, guitar serenading and a whole lot of love.
