Brienne & Adam - Burleigh Falls Wedding

This wedding from this past Saturday was perfection. Brienne and Adam got married in this cute little church called St Peters on the Rock which is on an Island on Stony Lake! Guests arrived on pontoons! For real, my photographer heart explodes from happiness every time I think about it. After the ceremony while guests headed to the reception at Burleigh Falls Inn, Brienne, Adam and I got in a boat and headed to Adam’s family cottage on another private island 10 minutes away. We took portraits and explored the 3 acres of property where Adam and his siblings played and made incredible memories since their were small children.
And then back on the boat, we headed to the Inn where Craig Cardiff performed through out dinner and for their first dance.
Amazing couple, outstanding surroundings and incredible friends and family made for THE perfect day!
Here are their sneak peeks!!

Christina and Mike - Engagement Session - Ottawa Airport

These two beauties love to travel so much that they met me at the Ottawa airport for their e-session and booooyyyyy am I ever so excited to document their wedding day!

Not only to do I feel their love for eachother, I also see their friendship. They are absolutely perfect for each other.

Jane & Ben - Strathmere Wedding - Ottawa Wedding Photographer

A beautiful November wedding surrounded by an incredibly loving family. The speeches got me bad at this one, I laughed, I cried and felt all the love. It’s strange when I really start to think about what I do, spending an entire day documenting all the special moments of such an incredibly special day and how connected I feel with all the people I spent that day with by the end of the night. I wish Jane and Ben all the love and I’m excited to spend another beautiful day with this family in August of this year when Jane’s brother gets married.

Jess and Alan - Strathmere Wedding - Ottawa Wedding Photographer

Jess and Alan were married on September 21, 2018 which was the same day a tornado hit down in the Ottawa area. There were talks of moving the ceremony indoors but Jess wouldn’t have it and because of this I was able to capture the epic wind that day. Power was lost later in the evening, generators kicked in and the celebration continued.

Baby Bea - In Home Newborn Session - Ottawa Family Photographerl.

This was a very special newborn session with an amazing family I hold close to my heart.

Bea was an incredible last gift her father, Shane, left his family before he past away two months ago.

Bea... "she who brings Happiness"

The McMahons - Family Lifestyle Session - Ottawa Family Photographer

I'm taking it back to sunny, warm days. Back to ice cream dripping down your cone, playing in the warm water and watching sunsets. Back to this an amazing family session I had the honour of photographing in August of last year with the McMahons.

The Zurawskis - Family Mini - Ottawa Lifestyle Photographer

So, I haven't blog a session since July because I'm just drowning in editing. Having two children under 4 and running my own business, things can get a little crazy at times. So all my focus has been editing and getting all the captured memories back to my clients as soon as possible. I’m going to start playing catch up as things slow down a little bit over the winter and will be posting summer/fall/winter family sessions as well as some weddings!

Here are the Zurawskis that I had photographed in October 2018. Despite being a tad cold that morning, we had an amazing adventure in the forest out in Russell. Rob sent me this amazing message a few days after receiving his gallery and it just made my heart burst on so many levels that I asked if it was ok if I shared it with you all. "Jess, at first I picked out some photos that I liked and didn't think too much about it, but the more I look at them and digest them, I see the artistry and importance. Today scanning through them at lunch, they reminding me of the family that I am lucky to have. Jess, I didn't realize the emotional impact that the photos would have on me. It didn't happen right away. At first I was analyzing them and picking out flaws, but when you see them all as a collection, you can see the artistry and how you have exceeded expectations. I am impressed how our personalities are captured. The looks that we give each other are sincere, and the looks that I see when the girls are looking at nothing at all are tender and beautiful. Thank YOU !!!!" This right here is why I am so absolutely in LOVE with my job. Also, get ready for some major blogging in the next couple of months... as I'm going to be catching up hard from way back in the summer!

Valerie and Grace - Family Mini Session - Ottawa Lifestyle Photographer

Valerie was the winning bidder of a mini session I donated to the annual Ottawa Fur Kids Online Auction last year. When she reached out to book a session, I was about to give birth to Ruby. So she kindly waited and we finally captured some amazing memories with her daughter, Grace, a few weeks ago. We had an absolute blast!

Ottawa Fur Kids Online Auction is run every year in February. I will gladly donate another session next year so keep an eye out for it!

Jude's First Birthday Party - Ottawa Family Lifestyle Photographer

I had an absolutely blast with this beautiful family of 3 boys last month! It was Jude's first birthday and I hadn't seen them since his newborn session last year, how I've missed them!

I arrived, Jude filled up his little belly and then we quickly headed out for some family portraits before the guests arrived. I stayed for a good part of the party and documented all the crazy goodness that comes with a first birthday party! Loved every minute of it! Please enjoy the fun!

Everett - One Year - Family Mini - Ottawa Family Lifestyle Photographer

I met Everett a year ago. I photographed him when he was only a few weeks old and so itty bitty. I loved meeting him all over again, I feel so lucky I get to watch this little human grow.

I feel so honoured that my clients continue to come back and ask me to capture all these precious, fleeting moments for their families. Our babes grow so friggin' fast and I feel it is so important to document all the things so we can remember forever how it was and who they were.

Eric and Bailey - Engagement Session - Ottawa Wedding Photographer

I needed no prompts for these two. They made each other laugh and giggle the whole session long.

Started at a pub for a round of drinks (which was on the house! yay!) and then headed out to a park close by.

Note to anyone thinking of having a round of drinks at the beginning of your session ( which I highly recommend!), hit the bathroom before you leave the bar or you may end up like Eric and Bailey squatting behind dumpsters at the end of your session bahah amazing!.

Seriously, these two are so in love and it just beams right out of them. I can not wait to capture their wedding day in September.

In Home Newborn Lifestyle Session - Ottawa Family Photographer

This beautiful and very large set was just sent off to this amazing family this afternoon and I am so excited to be sharing it with you all. If I didn't think it was over kill, I'd just share all 150+ images. It's so difficult picking and choosing what images I'd like to share for my blog. I absolutely love story telling and I feel that every image is a page to a story and if I skip an important moment it makes it harder to follow along. I do hope that I chose all the right moments to allow you, the viewer, to feel all the right emotions..

Please enjoy!
